Description Of Events With Barton Bennett Barton Bennett initially contacted me in April of 1999. He was looking for a Website to be constructed for him, and was in need of my services. We came to an agreement at about $250.00 (If my memory serves me correctly). He quickly sent me a check, and about 30 pages worth of paper work that I was to use to construct his Website. I constructed his Website to his liking, and although several small changes were needed, he was satisfied with the job. On 4/22/99, Barton sent me an e-mail with some changes to his Website. He acknowledged that I would that I may have to charge him for these changes. On 5/11/99 Barton e-mailed me with some "final changes" to the Website. I should have been smart enough to see him laying the ground work to pull a fast one on me.
The way it stands now, Barton has no interest in firming up his obligations. Yes, he did tell me he would pay the last bill, but he never paid it. In my mind, a man will always live up to their word, and never, ever lies. Barton's actions would have many people calling him a dead-beat. The core issues are this...
He some how says that the $75.00 changes that he paid for should have paid for both sets of the different pages. It's funny, in this world you will find winners and losers. It is always the losers who cheat, and their sad lives are total reflections on that. Note... According to the first amendment, posting this Website is completely legal. As long as the contents of this page are truthful, and there is ample proof to back it up, I have every right to express myself in such a venue. It is freedom of speech, and I will leave this site up until Barton takes responsibility for what he owes me. He knows where to send it to. There is a possibility that Barton may complain and this site will be taken down, but rest assured, every time it is taken down I will put it back up again in all of the search engines. |
